The phrase "qualia" was released in philosophical literature by C. I. Lewis. The term is derived from Latin and suggests "of what kind". It is basically a quantity or residence of something as perceived or experienced by somebody, similar to the scent of rose, the style of wine, or the ache of the headache. These are hard to articulate or explain.
